Gravel gardens are an under used design for UK gardens especially as the weather is getting increasingly hotter and drier throughout Spring to Autumn where plants are struggling to survive unless people either have a good irrigation system in place or are regimented enough to water every day. Gravel gardens look amazing and the planting uses drought tolerant plants and the gravel keeps weeds out, water in and protection.

The client wanted something that lifted their small front garden and gave them something beautiful to look at and with less maintenance.

I hace put images below covering a 3 year period where the first year was to remove the turf and lay it to gravel, plant and build a bin store, then there are images of the plants growth in year 2 and year 3, showing how great the garden looks as it matures.
